Summary: Our stay at the hotel was wonderful, except one thing....the food... the food is old and awful. First night it was just ok, couldn't eat the mashed potatoes because they were dried out. The 2nd night i went non seafood decided to go with a filet.It comes outcovered everything with this sauce, so excited i cut into steak cooled a little under but there was a smell from it, i thought must be the sauce. I took 2 bits of their overpriced filet, and it was BAD. I mean gone bad with a tainted taste, never ever had a steak taste like that. I looked around there is no one there except few older folks. They used to be slammed with people daily. Its sad what the restaurant of the Great Smithfield Station has become

Summary: in front of the house and other people who disrupted the unique experience with loud music. At another time it might be the perfect spot to reset. The dishes in the restaurant are worth trying it, ours were great. The breakfast on the other hand you might skip.

Summary: Great staff. So friendly and accommodating. We requested a pack and play and it was all set up in the room upon our arrival. Forgot a toothbrush, and they gave us one, no problem. My grandson woke up early and the staff gave her Cheerios before the breakfast opened. Also requested hot sauce, they went and found some in the back. So nice!!! Great customer service.

Summary: We spent the night in a room (203) with a broken bed - when we shared that with the front desk at check out - no apologies or attempt to accommodate us in any way were offered- just that the room was already assigned for that night and they would need to fix it for the next customer.

Summary: Parking may be a little tough due to people dining at the nearby restaurant, but dont let that deter you. Great service, lovely lobby with handmade boat, nice Keurig coffee bar, and a back entrance to the boardwalk/dock. The king room was roomy and comfy, and the shower was huge. Access to the restaurant is a breeze (and it's worth visiting - the food was delicious and the service top-notch).
